SET OF TWO ORNAMENTAL PANELS in the Maori style, New Zealand Hardwood, pigments H 113–116 cm × W 45–46 cm Carved in medium relief, the two figures feature Maori-inspired tattoos on their faces and bodies, and each holds a short green club, resembling traditional patu mere pounamu. Provenance: Former collection of Mickael McNeill, who was in charge of designing the “boardriders” shops for Quiksilver during the Jeff Hakman era.
