VENERIE KNIFE
Ebony handle with silver lamé and copper filigree. Hallmarked silver crosspiece.
Flat-backed, curved blade with hollow sides, engraved, gilded and blued (heavy wear), decorated with "JUSTICIA" allegory, game, foliage, signed on the heel "De la Manufacture De la marque à l'Extra-fin à Solingen".
Later 19th-century brown leather scabbard with two silver-plated metal fittings.
